Did I mention where we are staying?

Did I mention where we are staying...  Ideally located we are able to sample the good life.   Corsega & Balmes... what does that mean?......Well, the area of Eixample is where you can do everything.   To give you an idea, three blocks from us is the Passieg de Gracia (the 5th Avenue of Barcelona).  Did I mention that I have opened my wallet a few times on that block.  Well, how can you not, when everything is on sale.  I mean if your going to buy a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes they should be on sale, right?
The Apartment is high up in a a beautifully restored building. The lift is a treat.  It is small  but unique.  The apartment has been totally refurbished with a modern style but still keeps with the original features that ensure it remains a stunning example of Barcelona's architectural heritage.

But what is better than the apartment is the people that live in it.  I don't mean us, I mean Theresa, Pere, Joan and Alexandra.  They arrived back from our Proctor home this week and we were able to spend some time with them prior to them departing to the Costa Brava to finish their summer vacation.

Oh no!  Zach better get his Spanish down if he is going to steal the heart of Alexandra...............
Alexandra is going to have to choose..  Will it be Asher or Zach???

The kids need to eat too.....
Joan, slept in Asher's bed while staying at our house.
The kids got some fun time, while the Adults were hard at work............

Hard at work?  Well, I mean we had lots of wine to drink and food to eat.  But, what's in a name?  Well, when it comes to wine... a lot!  Jordi our host for the day sure knows... He was a food critic and wine connoisseur for years.  So you could only imagine that the French wines he choose for our lunch was to perfection.
After lunch, we were off to the Gracia Fair.  Bungy jumping... a perfect way to work off our meal.  Did our day have to end.  No way....   We went home, took a little siesta, then got up at 8:30 pm and went to the beach.  I promised Zach that we could go for a swim.  I couldn't break my promise.

The beach was bustling...  People, entertainment...  We had to catch the action.  Some street performers kept our attention for the next hour. But not for long.. the Madrid Barcelona Super- Cup was on.  We sat down at a beachside bar to watch Barcelona lead 2-1.  We thought it may be safe to leave.  Since the clock struck 11:30.  As we walked along the beach, we had to enter another bar to watch the tail end of the game.  Final Score 2-2.  But this was good.  We have tickets for the Wednesday game which will determine the winner.  So excited.

Finally got home at 12:30.....  but guess what?  They actually slept in.........
